I think we started this hike just before 6am. The drive was just under 40 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. We relocated to that area because it sits around 8000 feet (my garmin indicates where we are staying on the mountain is at 8227 feet). This would end up massively helping with the altitude sickness symptoms…
